Freedom

Are we really free?

Freedom is a complex and ever-changing subject. We all think we know what it is, but when we try to explain it, everything becomes more difficult.

We immediately think that it coincides with our will, but what would our daily life be like if we could do whatever we wanted and others could do the same?

Isn't freedom more like the ability to choose, more like having the opportunity to do so?

Absolute freedom does not exist and people's freedom is fragile.

It slowly dies within small acts of violence that exclude dialogue and relationship, leaving room for insecurity and fear of action, spaces in which living becomes increasingly difficult.

We become aware of freedom and its opposite for the first time in our relationship with others and not with ourselves.

Hannah Arendt
Did you know

that freedom depends on us?

Our actions, the way we speak and relate to others influence the extent of our freedom.

Our use of violence excludes it and makes it difficult to exercise and achieve.
